To know this route is to realize that, in addition to the urgency of reducing our ecological footprint, it is equally required to recover the biocapacity of our planet. Since the "Global Overshoot Day", on December 11th, 1980, we have exceeded the limit of equilibrium. On August 21st, 2010, all ecological resources that the planet has the capacity to generate in a year had been exhausted. Building a future requires an economy capable of recovering the lost biocapacity and providing the goods and vital services, which humanity needs most. The seven steps to a green and human economy seem, to us, to form the structural conditions for this history to change its route .
